For you as a sailor there is hardly any information more important than the weather forecast. In Spain this is provided by the INM (Instituto Nacional de Meteorología). Unfortunately this website is only in Spanish. However, since many of you may not have a sufficient command of this language, we have made an overview of a number of useful, least to say very important, web pages for sailors.

Detailed predictions for wind and waves
Specifically with navigation in mind, the INM has developed models for predicting wind and the beating of waves. Click
here
and choose between one of the six zones, defined on the map. Subsequently, choose on the right-hand between wind (viento) or waves (oleaje). After that, choose the desired time interval. Under T+3 for example, you'll find the predictions for wind and waves in three hours time. By clicking Anim you'll be given an animation of the weather forecast for the next 24 hours.
